Beautiful walk around the reservoir and Goyt Valley. A visit to the ruins of Errwood Hall is a must. Get there early if you want to miss the crowds as its very popular.

This will take you down a small country road and to the sailing club.
You can't obviously park there, but you can along the road literally 100 yards away, and it's free..
A fairly small reservoir that when it's low you can see the remains of the old village.
Some remnants are laying around in parts of the edge showing old bottles and bowls that have been found underwater.
No toilets or cafe available..
Walks around include fields, forest and road.
Still quite low at the moment, but filling slowly.... ( nov 2022 ).
Worth a visit, and a good place to start for longer walks if required..
Fantastic walk around the reservoir and the surrounding hills and Goyt Valley. Well worth the trip.
The is a mix of road, off road and pure wild terrains to explore along with fairly flat to steep walks (nothing close to a mountain tho!)
The scenes are there to be had.
Beautiful place for walks and beautiful scenery. There's are several free parking areas. Take your own food and please take your rubbish back with you. Amazing scenery when driving to and from the reservoir.
Lovely place to go and walk, lovely views of the Reservoir, be sure to go and visit the ruins worth a look
Bit of a naff drive down their. But it's worth it once their. Supirsed to see an icecream van their to be honest 🤣.. Good walks. Shame you can't walk around the water unless your fishing. …
Beautiful reservoir with a fantastic waterfall plunge off the reservoir. I wonder how deep it goes and how much water fall every minute. There is tones to do in this area and is very beautiful.
